![]() ![]() So once i got all the cables for the computer, iit was my wow moment. oh yeah the handle and take the amp to radio shack to get the "proper" cables. com and 2 wrong purchases from Best Buy and 2 wrong purchases from Radio shack, to Just use that handy lil thing again. By the way, I found it a lot easier after 3 wrong purchases from amazon. Basically it is a male usb and male mini usb cable that I purchased from Radio shack. I wish I could share a picture of mine with you, however this site will not allow me to up load the pictures. The cable that i use for the computer is a simple "data" transfer cable that is 6 ft long. trust me you will want the computer and amp and guitar all close together for all this fun. ![]() a "handle" pick it up and move it to the computer to setup the settings you want. the amp has this handy lil thing called amazingly enough. well we don't want to move the computer to the amp. for the phone/tablet side a bit more complexed.but doable.ġ. Are they a software company? hell no!!! is the software and downloads intuitive? for the pc side a bit. true VOX makes some pretty damn nice amps and are very affordable. Here is my own solution to some issues you guys may be having out there: software. At 60 years old, I find it a lot easier to just go with the flow and instead of trying to interface everything into a lump of crap, buy the separate parts and use those parts solely for the function you purchase them for. Well to the novice non ex-geekoid, I can understand your frustration. Got all that done and then connecting everything up. My biggest issue has been trying to find the proper interface cable/cables. I bought the vox vt20x as it had an interface to the computer. These companies got us all figured out thats for sure!! All this toneroom / custom blah is just a waste of time. Thank god I kept the receipt.Ĭheap plastic overpriced Sh1t with a lot of flashing lights. They agreed jack is faulty and gave me option to exchange for something else there. This thing is made of plastic.dammit I got swindled again!! Next try at home and I notice when I wiggle / move the guitar lead it cuts out the sound or crackles.more and more. Heavy sounds are pretty crap actually.and the cleans/Ac sounds have a LOT of treble. effects button is flashing like crazy.bias hot /cold buttons.class A /AB wtf. actually theres a LOT of flashing lights. the vox models sound pretty good.nails the early brit bands.but theres a lot of flashing lights when I change models on the knob.presets are activated somehow.I try turn them off but i get lost. and notice when I press down on the carry handle it cuts the amp sound.weird.ġ more try at rehearsal. just waiting to be snapped off.or lost hmmm.Ģ tries later at home I hear a crackling noise on the input jack. A psu that has a teeny tiny little unique-sized jack plug that when inserted hangs loosely and precariously sticks out the back of the amp. Only then realised it comes with a special vox PSU- not a kettle lead like most amps. it actually kinda responds to dynamics and has a smooth sound.oooo look at that glowing tube ,the neon lights ,all those effects ,a tuner. VTX amplifiers also offer 13 classic effects based on some of the most iconic stompboxes of all time that sound incredible when paired with any of the 11 realistic amplifier models. Not sure if a review belongs here but I reckon it may help othersĪfter first trying a blackstar 10W stereo amp, a boss katana and a roland cube in the shop I finally arrived at the Vox and thought wow. The new modeling algorithm actually recreates the analog circuits of the most coveted tube amplifiers and allows users to adjust the gain structure, switch between Class A and Class AB operation, and adjust the bias of the amplifier in real time. These amps combine all-new sophisticated modeling technology with a multi-stage tube pre-amp circuit reproduce the unique distortion, touch sensitivity, and the response that is characteristic of classic tube amps. ![]() The VTX Series represents an evolutionary step in VOX’s Valvetronix Series.
